Hi everyone. This time is the Hong Kong period!. I visited Hong Kong in March 2008 from Macau and of course by fast ferry. You just paid 50 HK Dollar and you will be reaching Hong Kong in half an hour!. There are many types of ferries, the choice is yours.....

Ok, these are what the best about Hong Kong;
Hotel
I can't recommend much on hotels as I've only stayed in two before - Grand Hyatt and Metropark Kowloon. I believe Grand Hyatt would be way out of budget for most so I can't say more. Metropark Kowloon was pretty decent. We paid S$180/pax for 4 nights. The room was clean and decent. It's pretty small for 3 in a room but I was prepared for a even smaller room as HK hotels are known for their pathetic size. The room comes with the usual bathroom essentials, TV, fridge, safe etc. It is pretty far from the MTR station and we had such a hard time finding it on our first day as we did not have our pre-paid card yet. One plus point about the hotel is that there's free shuttle bus service to Mongkok and Tsim Tsa Tsui and from Tsim Tsa Tsui back to hotel. It runs in 15 min interval during the peak hours and 30 min intervals during the non-peak.
Shopping
No doubt Hong Kong is a shopping paradise! From the low-end to the high-end goods, you can get almost anything in HK. For this trip, other than going to the usual Argyle Centre, H&M, F21, we explored a few places we've never been to and it turns out that they are great shopping places!
1) Argyle Centre/New Town Mall
It is almost like a Far East Plaza, with tons of small shops nestled inside the mall. It's air conditioned but it's really crowded in the day. Going at night seems to be a better choice as there are less people and it's easier to shop without having to nudge through the crowd. Prices ranges from $8-$20. It's a must go in HK!
83 Argyle Street, Mongkok
Opening hours: 11am to 11pm (not all shops are open at 11am so its safer to go in the afternoon!)
Mongkok MTR Exit D2
2) Fa Yuen Street
Ladies Street and Fa Yuen Street are all at Mongkok. Please don't be confused with the both. Ladies Street is much like our Chinatown, selling touristy and many imitations. Fa Yuen Street has more shops selling trendy apparels. Prices ranges from $10-$20. Not the cheapest but still reasonable.
3) H&M
The biggest H&M in HK has closed down due to high rental costs. There are a few outlets though. We went to the one at Langham Place but it seems pretty similar to what we have in SG. The exchange rate now isn't that favourable as well.
4) Forever 21
The Forever 21 outlet in HK is huge! Occupying 6 stories at Causeway Bay, you won't miss it as it right outside the MTR exit. I was sad that I didn't have time to shop at F21 as my back practically gave way when I went on the first night and I was in too much pain to shop. Didn't have time to go back on the other days when I was in HK as well. :(( The boots on sale were really cheap though! Only S$20+!
19 Jardine's Bazaar, Causeway Bay
Opening Hours: 10am to 1am
Causeway Bay MTR Exit F
5) Kwai Chung Plaza
The furnishing of Kwai Chung Plaza reminds me of MBK in Bangkok. They sell all sorts of things from food to HP accessories to apparels. Except that the apparels sold here are trendy, unlike those touristy tshirts sold at MBK. And man, I may have found the best place to shop in HK! The stuff here are relatively cheaper, maybe because it's away from the city area. We managed to get knit tops for only 40HKD which is S$6+! and its really knit so it can keep us warm. One of my girlfriend also managed to get a damn good deal. A box clutch that looks expensive and would probably cost S$40 outside. She only got it for S$5!! *jaw drops* It's a pity it's winter season and we didn't get much. I reckon it would be a great place to shop during summer! Buttttt the mall smells horrible with all sorts of food smell infused into the air. Super bad ventilation!
Kwai Fong MTR Exit D
6) Hong Kong Industrial Centre
I was so excited when I first saw this place. It's HUGE. Like Platinum mall except it spans horizontally instead of vertically. There's only one level but a few blocks. It's a wholesale centre but the items here are so expensive. Each piece costs about S$30 or more..? We left empty handed :( I would suggest going here only if you have extra time. Also, don't bring a big bag there as it is crazy crowded (on weekends esp) and you have to practically squeeze through the human traffic.

Must Visit Place
1) Hong Kong Disneyland
I just love HK Disneyland and you at time, you think that you are a kid!
2) Peak Tramp
This is a must!. Enjoying the whole HK at night time will be super amazing experience you'll gain.
To be continue.....
